Dr. Meredith Jones is an emergency veterinarian and financial coach in the Richmond, Virginia area. Dr. Jones is also a co-founder of Veterinary Financial Summit, a financial conference and online community for veterinary professionals. She found that there was a lot of talk about the financial issues within the veterinary community, but there wasn’t a lot of vet-to-vet communication about these problems. She created the Debt-Free Vets Facebook group in 2016 with the intent to connect veterinarians and veterinary students to share information and share their success stories. Dr. Jones wants to help other veterinarians have a greater understanding of their personal and professional finances and be able to achieve their financial goals.
